Raising awareness and increasing enquiries for Merri Health

Carer Gateway campaign

Project overview
I worked on the Carer Gateway campaign for Merri Health, a major not-for-profit initiative designed to support unpaid carers across Victoria. The goal was to reach hidden carers, people who provide support to family or friends but don't officially identify with the term "carer". We needed to move them from a state of selfless burnout to realising that they deserve support too, effectively driving enquiries and awareness for the program.
Insights
The primary challenge was a psychological one, many carers view their work as a duty of care rather than a role that entitles them to support. To break through this, we used a "portal" as a central creative device. This served as a visual metaphor for the Gateway itself, a bridge connecting isolated individuals with a community of services. Because the audience was so broad, the messaging had to be tailored to ensure it felt personal and accessible across every digital and physical touchpoint.

Process

Working within the team at TCW, I was responsible for taking the high-level campaign concept and executing it across a large multi-channel rollout. I designed and animated the social media assets and digital marketing suites, ensuring the portal metaphor remained consistent and engaging. On the technical side, I designed the landing page and eDM layouts with a focus on simplifying the enquiry process, making it as frictionless as possible for a time-poor audiences to find help. I also handled the finished artwork for large-scale expo materials and out-of-home advertising.

Outcomes

The campaign successfully launched across TV, digital, and print where it stood out in high-traffic outdoor spaces. By simplifying the information into a dedicated landing page, we made the service feel more accessible and less overwhelming for new users. The result was a wide-reaching rollout that connected a government service and the people who needed it most.
