Member portal redesign and documentation for TPAV

Digital transformation

UX/UI Design / Digital Strategy / Design Systems
Project overview
TPAV required an end-to-end redesign of their public website and secure member portal. As the sole designer on the project, I was responsible for transforming a legacy site into a modern, mobile-first platform that simplified access to essential legal and professional resources for its members.
Insights
Working with a member-led organisation meant the interface had to be intuitive and accessible. I focused on a clean hierarchy that prioritised the most frequent member actions, ensuring the portal felt functional rather than overwhelming.

Process

I led the process from initial wireframing through to high-fidelity UI concepts. I developed a modular design system for all template pages to ensure a consistent experience between the public site and the private portal. To bridge the gap between design and build, I created a comprehensive best practice guide, providing developers with clear documentation on interactions, spacing, and accessibility standards.

Outcomes

The final UI designs were successfully implemented and by delivering a documented design system alongside the high-fidelity mockups, I ensured the developers could maintain the integrity of the user experience throughout the build.
